About Axed
Axed is a biweekly podcast in which hosts Will & Aaron discuss a new canceled television show each week. These short-lived shows didn’t receive much attention while they were on the air, so we at Axed aim to give them some new viewership. Or discuss why they deserved to be canceled. It really depends.
There are a few rules about the show. First, all shows covered must have DVD releases in the United States of America (the greatest country in the world). We want people to be able to legally view these shows, not just hear us ramble on about them. They also must have lasted no more than 50 episodes in their initial run. We have lives, and can’t spend a whole week watching 6,000 episodes of some Saturday morning cartoon that was canceled after 12 seasons.
In addition, between each full episode of the podcast, Axed features a “News from the Chopping Block” issue. Each of these brief podcasts will cover news about canceled shows coming to DVD, current network shows that are either on the bubble or fully canceled, speculation on the current status of various shows, and other bits of news. Hey, we’ve got to do something every week, even if it’s not a full episode. Otherwise you’ll forget who we are. Well, faster than you normally would.
That’s Axed. If you have any questions, would like to request a show for us to cover, or just feel like screaming at us, e-mail us at mail@axedpodast.com. Keep listening!
